The Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) is conducting a quantitative impact study (QIS) in parallel and in cooperation with the exercise performed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS).

The CEBS is making available publicly the QIS workbook, accompanying instructions and a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs). The list of answers to FAQs will be updated regularly.

The documents published by CEBS should be ready in conjunction with documents published by the BCBS under http://www.bis.org/bcbs/qis/index.htm.

The comprehensive QIS workbook available for download is for information purposes only. Participating institutions shall use the QIS workbook provided by their national supervisor.

The deadline for data submissions by participating banks is Friday, 30 April 2010.
